DENTON, Md. - Rita Y. Jansen of Denton, formerly of Smyrna, Del., died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, in Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 58.
Mrs. Jansen was born Jan. 14, 1949, in Wilmington, Del., the daughter of the late Lloyd and Emma (Poore) Wilkerson.
Mrs. Jansen worked as a seamstress for Eastwinds Manufacturing, Clayton, Del., and later for Harris Manufacturing, Smyrna.
She enjoyed doing puzzle books and playing Play Station.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Wilkerson and Jack Wilkerson.
She is survived by two sons, Matthew T. Morgan Sr. of Magnolia, Del., and Joseph F. Morgan of Dover, Del.; two daughters, Rebecca M. Hall of Hartly, Del., and Michelle L. Morgan of Middletown, Del.; five brothers, Phillip Wilkerson and Patrick Wilkerson both of Greenville, Pa., Edward Wilkerson of Bear, Del., James Wilkerson of Newport, Del., and Terrance Faulkner of Denton; three sisters, Betty Pollago of Elkton, Dorothy Gruwell of Greenville and Mary Gruwell of Smyrna; 13 grandchildren; her foster mother, Marie Faulkner of Denton; and her companion, Benjamin Marker of Denton.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.
