FELTON - Rita Rose (Boyles) Billings passed away peacefully in her home, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Rita was born August 7, 1927 in Elkton, Maryland to the late, Walter & Rose Boyles. She and her late husband Ralph Established Canterbury Used Furniture, Felton, in 1967, which is still in business today. She also had worked at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna for 5 years.
Rita was a devout Catholic, and Communicant of the Church of the Holy Cross, in Dover for many years. She was a giver, not a taker, always willing to help others; and in her free time enjoyed reading, shopping at a thrift store, and shopping for food that she loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Billings, Sr. (1986); two brothers, Paul & Junior; and two sisters, Frances & Theresa.
Rita is survived by three sons, Thomas Billings, of Dover, David Billings & wife, Connie, of Felton, and Ralph Billings, Jr. & wife, Angel, of Wilmington; eight grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view one hour before. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Felton Fire Company.
