Rebecca Ann Eason, 91

    Rebecca Ann (Becky) of Dover Delaware took her last breath on March 7, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1933 to the late Bishop McClyment and Frances Larrimore McClyment.
    Becky graduated in 1951 from St. Mary’s Seminary, during which time she met the love of her life William Eason (Bill).
    With Bill enlisting in the Air Force they had many assignments all over the world spanning 25 years, eventually settling in Dover, Delaware in 1970. While living in Dover she worked as a loan officer for Dover Federal Credit Union. In 1977 they moved to Queen Anne’s County, Maryland where they operated a small business, eventually settling in Chestertown, Maryland.
    Becky became the first female deputy sheriff in Queen Anne’s County, eventually working her way up to Chief Deputy of Security at Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.
    During her retirement years, she enjoyed boating in the local area, keeping a boat at Rolph’s Wharf Marina. Over the years she enjoyed many hours on the water, often spending weekends taking cruises to local area marinas with her family and friends.
    Rebecca is predeceased by her husband Bill and her parents Bishop and Frances McClyment.
    Becky is survived by her three children Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Buchanan (Butch), William Fredrick Eason (Audrey) and David Blake Eason (Patti), brother David McClyment (Sandy), sister Martha Shortall, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    A graveside service, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th at Chesterfield Cemetery, 213 Belvedere Ave., Centerville, Maryland 21617.
    In her memory, contributions may be made to Compass Hospice, 160 Comet Drive, Centerville, MD 21617.
