PAINTER, Va. - Ralph Lee Taylor Jr. of Painter departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, in his home with his loving wife by his side. He was 74.
Mr. Taylor was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Accomack County, son of the late Ralph Sr. and Eula Rogers Taylor.
He was a self-employed salvage dealer.
Mr. Taylor was a member of Gaskins Chapel A.M.E. Church, Savageville and a former member of the Bethel A.M.E. Men"s Choir of Milton, Del.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Taylor; and two sons, Jerome Francis Taylor and Harold Edward Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Kelly Taylor; his children, Charles and Virginia Nock, Ralph and Carol Skinner, Wayne and Donna Taylor all of Millsboro, Del., Stanley and Phillistine Johnson of Berlin, Md., Ralph Taylor of Georgetown, Del., Dennis and Vickie Taylor of El Paso, Texas, Jackie and Katherine Taylor of Dover, Del., Anthony and Shayla Taylor of Ellendale, Del., Richard Lightfoot of Wilmington, Del. and Toby Lightfoot of Fort Worth, Texas; his brothers, Jack and Tracy Bundick of Virginia; his sister, Linda Lightfoot of Wilmington; three grandchildren he raised, Brittany Hickman, Roshanda Stanley and Teneka Bull; many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Gaskins Chapel A.M.E. Church, Savageville, Va.
