Phyllis 'Petey' Callahan, 81 MILFORD - Phyllis "Petey" Callahan, of Milford, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009. She was 81. She was born in Harrington to the late Paul W. and Estella Peterson. Mrs. Callahan was a waitress at the Hampton Inn. In her spare time, she enjoyed decorating her home and others. She could walk into any room and transform it into a show piece worthy of the masterpieces displayed in magazines. She also enjoyed going to the slots. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul Callahan; and a son, Larry Callahan. She is survived by her stepmother, Fran Peterson of Felton; special nephew and his wife, Butch and Cindy Callahan of Joppa, Md.; sons, Jay Callahan of Hilliard, Fla., Robin Callahan of Astula, Fla., and Wayne Horner of Gonzalis, La.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services and burial will be private. Donations in her memory can be made to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Miflord, DE 19963. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
