DOVER, Del. - Phyllis C. Marsh passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.
Phyllis was born January 22, 1946 in Wilmington, Del. to the late Richard J. Connell and Phyllis E. Dobek.
Phyllis was raised in Wilmington, where she graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1964 and later attended Goldey Beacom School of Business. She moved to Dover in 1968. She was an active member of the Irish Society and extremely proud of her Polish and Irish heritage. Animals were always a huge part of her life, she loved her household pets and had a soft spot for the wildlife in her yard. Phyllis and Dan were a very social couple, they enjoyed their travels, spending time together and with family and friends. Her family was the most important thing to her.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by Richard J. Connell, III.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Daniel J. Marsh, Sr. of Dover, Del.; children, Marlo Bright & Antoine Vann of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Shelley & Tim Heuring of Rehoboth Beach, Del., DJ Marsh, Jr. and his wife Ashley of Clayton, Del., Kari Walker & Joe Perkins of Stonewall, La.; brothers, Richard J. Connell, Jr. of Albertville, Ala., Edward J. & Tina Connell of Newark, Del.; grandchildren, Jaydyn Marsh, Colton Walker, Terrance & Keyanna Vann, Anya Vann, Hayley Blohm, Alex Dianopolis, III; nieces & nephews, Bridget, Martin, Cassandra, Rory, Cecily, Olivia & Pheobe Connell.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Del.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Humane Society.
