Phoebe Maria Haritos, 84
Phoebe Maria Haritos passed away on February 23, 2021 at home. Phoebe was born on March 4, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to the late Futine and James Triantafillos.
Phoebe was raised in Washington D.C. where she met her late husband Nicholas P. Haritos at Georgetown University. She was a loving and devoted wife for 62 years. After living in Connecticut for 11 years, the family moved to Delaware in 1973. Phoebe enjoyed being a homemaker, but also worked several years for the Delaware State Archives beginning in 1983. Phoebe loved being with her family, gardening, cooking and going clamming in Cape Henlopen State Park with her husband.
Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Peter Haritos. She is survived by children, Peter N. Haritos of New Castle and Lisa A. Olson of Dover; sister, Anastasia Triantafillos and husband Charles Stayton of Virginia; and nieces, Nancy Mehos of Connecticut, Sissy Reich and husband Stanley, of Connecticut.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Easter Seals.
