Pearl E. Ross of Ellendale died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 82.
She was born in Harrington, daughter of the late Roland and Mary (Green) Legates.
Mrs. Ross was a wonderful homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and flower gardening, especially roses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Ross Sr. in 1997; two sons, Donald Ross and Ronald Ross; and a daughter, Debra Dutt.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, James Jr. and Alice Ross of Felton, Brenda S. and Wayne Sennett of Ellendale, Norma Warren of Ellendale and Pamela and Dan Siok of Milford; five sisters, Ruth Bradley of Felton, Sarah Murphy of Harrington, Betty Cornell of Felton, Doris Legates of Camden and Norma Spence of Bucyrus, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call one hour earlier.
