GREENWOOD - Pauline C. Jones, of Greenwood, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She was 88. Pauline was born on April 2, 1927 in Denton, Md., she was the daughter of Hubert and Claytie Evergamn Passwaters. Besides being a homemaker, she worked at Delaware Air Craft, Harrington Shirt Factory, and at Penn Fibre. She enjoyed talking on the phone to family and friends, especially her sister-in-law, Elaine. Her biggest joy in life was her family, raising her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a few neighborhood kids. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-grandmother, Mable, Passwaters; husband, William Jones, Sr.; two sons, William Jones, Jr. and Gerald Jones. She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Slatcher and husband Bill of Seaford, and Durene "Dee" Jones of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Stefanie Jones, Nathan Jones, and Jan Wishart and husband Kevin; three great grandchildren, Megan Jones, Dustin Jones, and Kasey Jones; daughter-in-law, Durella Gibble; sister, Reba Bubb and husband Wilbur; brother, H. Robert Passwaters and his wife Lori; sisters-in-law, Elaine Jones and Florence Jones; best friend, Doris Ross; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, DE 19950. Family and friends may call Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. Donations may be made to the Greenwood VFD Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 17, Greenwood, DE 19950.
