Pauline (McNatt) Biddle, 84

MIDDLETOWN - Pauline (McNatt) Biddle of Middletown died peacefully Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in her home. She was 84.

Mrs. Biddle was born Sept. 9, 1922, in Smyrna, daughter of the late David and Kathleen (Shahan) McNatt.

She worked at Triump, Elkton, Md., making World War II ammunition. She also worked at Unicorn Farms, Chesapeake City, Md., and Carousel Farms, Wilmington cleaning tack. She most recently was a homemaker.

She will always be remembered for her love of horses and her passion to jump and foxhunt. Her favorite horses were Pat, Branco and Daisy May. She loved sports and was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. A true country woman, she loved listening to country music.

Mrs. Biddle was a member of the Middletown Pony Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Earl B. Biddle Sr.; a stepson, Charles Biddle; four brothers, David McNatt Jr., Harvey McNatt Sr., Foster McNatt and Charles McNatt; three sisters, Eleanor Howell, Kathleen "Dolly" Pouska and Marie McNatt; and one of her beloved dogs, Scrappy.

She is survived by her only son, Richard M. Biddle; her dog, Skip; five siblings, Grace Raspe of Debarry, Fla., Clifton McNatt of Elkton, Homer McNatt of DeLand, Fla., Helen Bayles of Middlebury Center, Pa. and Warren "Buddy" McNatt of Oxford, Pa.; a stepson, Earl Biddle Jr. of Odessa; and four stepgrandchildren, Earl Biddle III, Charles Biddle, Kim Keeler and Constance Pepper.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday.

Burial will be in St. Georges Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
