Smyrna - Polly Trader, known as sister, to family and friends, departed from this earth on Jan. 24, 2019 following an unrelenting battle with cancer that eventually took her life.
She was born Aug. 30, 1950 and lived in Delaware all of her life. She worked as a cashier at the Acme Markets in Smyrna and later at Dover Downs as a hostess, where she eventually retired.
She was kind and caring with a faith beyond measurement. She touched so many lives with her love and prayers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth Trader; daughter, Tina Challis; brother, Michael Bakota; and nieces, Nicole Bakota and Ashley Figgs and her fiancé, Chris Morris; two grandchildren, Nicholas Challis and Alan Challis and his fiance' Victoria Hendricks and their child Jaydon; brother-in-laws, Albert Trader, David Trader Gary Trader, Dennis Trader and their families; along with sister-in-law, Faye Porter.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pauline and Miles Draper; her parents, Betty and Steven Bakota; sister, Debra Figgs; brother-in-law, Douglas Trader; sister-in-laws, Louise Ann Melvin and Betty Trader.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming where friends may call after 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
