LONG NECK - Paul M. Neaton Sr. of Long Neck died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, in his home. He was 53.

Mr. Neaton was a retired U.S. Army Ranger and proudly served his country in Vietnam.

He loved greyhounds and worked over the years to find loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. He was a proud member of the Greyhounds Reach the Beach Community.

Mr. Neaton will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Sr. and Hazel (Herrington) Neaton; a son, Paul M. Neaton Jr.; a brother, Robert J. Neaton Jr.; a sister, Catherine M. Neaton; and a beloved father-in-law, Harold M. Butts Jr., and three angel hounds, BoBo, Pinky and Rocket Ron, whom he joined at the Rainbow Bridge.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Linda (Butts) Neaton; two daughters, Lisa Neaton and Nicole Neaton; two sisters, Roberta E. Martello and Joan Delsignore; and two greyhounds, Kit Kat and Rhyme.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Patriots Way, Millsboro.

The Rev. Robert A. Hudson will officiate.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may Greyhounds as Companions-New York, www.greyhoundsascompanions.com; or Greyhound Pets of America-Delaware, www.gpadelaware.org.
