SEAFORD - Paul D. Johnson, of Seaford, died on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 75.
Paul retired from the Bell Atlantic Phone Co. (Diamond State Telephone) in 1992 after 38 years.
He was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
His wife, Virginia E. "Ginny" Johnson, died in 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Woodland, in 2004.
He is survived by his son, Paul Douglas Johnson Jr. and his wife Michelle of Mt. Airy, Md.; four grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Jim Woodland and Jennifer Trostle; two great-grandchildren, Tristen Hicklin and Kaylynn Trostle; and his brother, Elwood Johnson of Milton.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, c/o Tom Brown, 801 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
