CLARKSVILLE - Paul B. Morin of Clarksville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008. He was 77.
Paul was born April 20, 1930, in New Bedford, Mass.
At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was trained to be a paratrooper and engineer, serving in the Korean War.
Paul met his future wife, Barbara Joan Truitt, while cruising Rehoboth Avenue. They were married Sept. 29, 1951, and were still on their honeymoon.
He established Morin's Floor and Wall Covering in Bethany Beach in 1961, and it is still in operation today in Ocean View.
Paul was a member of St. George's United Methodist Church, Clarksville, and served as the head usher and Sunday school superintendent.
He was past master of Grand Lodge 37 in Dagsboro, an honorary member of the Ocean View lodge, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the past president of the Flying Farmers of Delmarva.
Paul loved his family and friends, and hopes everyone will join him someday with the Lord.
He and Joan have two children, Paula Morin Hudson and Barry Guy Morin; seven grandchildren, Sheldon, Devin, Leslie, Nathan, Brenna, Tyler and Jennie; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jay.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. George's United Methodist Church, Clarksville, where friends may call after 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Paul's memory to St. George's United Methodist Church, 34281 Omar Road, Frankford, DE 19945; or to the Alzheimer's Association, 109 Bedford St,, Georgetown, DE 19947.
