FELTON - Patricia T. Bishop passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Harbor Healthcare in Lewes. She was the daughter of the late, Philip and Maria Thawley.
Patricia worked many jobs including, secretary at Felton High School, local IGA grocery store, and retiring as a cafeteria worker at the Caesar Rodney School. She was a member of the Felton Methodist Church, Frederica Senior Center, Felton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the "Happy Hour Gang" a division of the Delaware Family Campers Association.
When Patricia wasn't volunteering, she loved to do puzzles, knitting, and doing crafts with her camping group. She was a perfectionist who could still do short hand skillfully at her age. Though Patricia was known to get her way, she was very dedicated, reliable and easy going. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Oscar Bishop Jr.; son, Michael (Celeste) Bishop; daughters, Debbie Bishop (friend, Don Spencer) and Brenda Pernol (friend, Paul Richard); four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and extended family.
Services for Patricia will be on Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 11 a.m. A visitation for family and friends will start one hour prior at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, Md. We are adhering to the CDC and Delaware guidelines of occupancy limits, set at 50 persons, social distancing, and masks.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, please visit us at www.melvinfuneralhome.com to express or send condolences.
