LEWES - Patricia Claire (Martin) Vogel, of Lewes, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 74.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1933. Pat grew up in Mount Lebanon, Pittsburgh, Pa.
In 1968 she moved with her family to Laurel, Md., and later relocated to Columbia, Md.
Pat was employed at Head Sportswear and later as part owner of the family business, Creative Assemblies Inc.
Pat and her husband of 50 years, Alan, retired to Lewes in 1995.
An avid crafter, Pat had a knack for turning her talent into prosperous endeavors.
She enjoyed trading on eBay, travel and playing bridge.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Bernard Vogel and wife Jeannie of Westminster, Md.; two daughters, Nancy Scaggs and husband Gary of Crownsville, Md., and Lisa Hardy and husband Patrick of Elkridge, Md.
Pat was also blessed with seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Del. 1 at Five Points, Lewes.
Burial will follow at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sister Rosa Alvarez with La Esperanza, 302 W. Laurel St., Georgetown.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
