Patricia Ann Clendaniel, 66 ELLENDALE - Patricia Ann Clendaniel, of Ellendale, passed Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in her home surrounded by the family she loved and long time caretaker Francis Davis of Ellendale. She was 66. Patricia managed several poultry farms while lovingly caring for her family and studying for a career in the health industry. She later worked in the nursing field in such facilities as the Milford Nursing Home and the State of Delaware Stockley Center. Among her many interests were politics, antiquing, collecting glassware, serving the community and their children through various activities, helping those in need and enjoying the many yearly Clendaniel family gatherings. She also enjoyed participating in the yearly Rehoboth Promenade with her friends and family. From its inception she was an active participant in the Milford Community Parade, more often than not taking home a trophy for a float or mummer entry. Many area neighbors and friends recall anticipating the next entry to either watch or participate in the magical parade night. Patricia loved a good party and preferred to join in behind the scenes rather than be a spectator. Her creativity and joy of sharing it with her family and the community will be greatly missed by all. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Bessie Bowden of Millsboro, and six siblings, Catherine Hamby of Wilmington, Paul Bowden of Millsboro, Mary Bunting Lewendowski of Frankford, Joseph Bowden of Parsonsburg, Md., Larry Bowden Jr. of Millsboro, and Ruth Pillsbury of Parsonsburg, Md. Patricia is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 50 years, Charles R. Clendaniel Sr. of Ellendale; by her children and their spouses, Charricia (Tracey) and Norman Lear Jr. of Harrington, Pamela and Frances (Chuck) Prettyman of Georgetown, Debbie and Randal (Randy) Craft of Milford, Charles R. and Deborah Clendaniel Jr. of Ellendale, Dawn and Steven Kifer of Ellendale, and Patricia (Trisha)and Brian Marney Jr. of Milford and her pride and joy, 15 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Lear, Stacey and Nicole Prettyman, Brandon Craft, Charles III, Thomas, and Victoria Clendaniel, S. Craig, Daniel and Charles (Cody) Kifer, Timothy, Cheyenne, Savannah Lee, and Shawn Marney; and her brother Raymond Dee Bowden of Parsonsburg, Md. Viewing will be at Avenue United Methodist Church located at 20 North Church Street, Milford, DE, Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial service will be held in the Ellendale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home in Greenwood.
