Orrie E. Hudson, 81

MILLSBORO - Orrie E. Hudson of Millsboro died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, in Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, Millsboro. He was 81.

Mr. Hudson was born June 17, 1925, in Frankford, son of the late Fred E. and Pearl (Magee) Hudson.

He retired from Cargill in 1993. From there he worked part-time at Rose"s until June 2006.

Mr. Hudson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family, just talking and drinking coffee. He was an avid Orioles fan and loved sports. He was anxiously waiting for his fifth grandchild to be born.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally M. Hudson in 2002.

He is survived by two sons and two-daughters-in-law, Gerald and Diane Hudson of Millsboro and Robert and Myrna Hudson of Laurel; two brothers, Norris Hudson of Frederica and Bleat Hudson of Delmar, Md; three sisters, Angeline Timmons, Millie Jones and Wilsie Donohoe, all of Millsboro; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Carey"s Cemetery, Frankford.
