Ora N. Burns

Ora N. Burns, 87

LAUREL - Ora N. Burns of Laurel passed away Nov. 23, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 87.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas, daughter of John and Theresa Burns.

Ora retired as a legal secretary for attorney Larry Steele. Many years ago she worked in New York for the Little Brown Book Co. and Collier Publishing.

Ora is survived by a daughter, Lisa Eicker and her husband Donald; two granddaughters, Carrie Eicker and Janel Eiker of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Seaford Wesleyan Church, "The Ark," on U.S. 13, Seaford.

The Rev. Dave Kiser will officiate.

Arrangements by the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel.
