She was born in Fenwick Island, to the late Lemuel Augustus Keene and Mary (Kitchens) Keene.
Mrs. Parsons was a graduate of Selbyville High School and Goldey Beacom Business School, where she excelled in basketball at both schools.

For many years, Mrs. Parsons volunteered with the Beebe Medical Auxiliary and she was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes.
She was known for her green thumb as an avid gardener and enjoyed the local couples club.
Wherever Mrs. Parsons went, she especially enjoyed meeting people and always saw the good in everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Erwin and Clarence Keene; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cameron and Gertrude Ringler.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harry Dale Parsons; son, H.D. Parsons and wife Ann of Lewes; daughter, Keena P.
