Okey Harvey Vannoy, 89

SEAFORD - Okey Harvey Vannoy of Seaford died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Genesis Elder Care, Seaford. He was 89.

Mr. Vannoy was born May 25, 1917, in Richwood, W.Va., son of the late Clyde C. and Eura (Wright) Vannoy.

He was a graduate of Richwood High School.

He worked in the lumber mill in Richwood. He also worked in construction for DuPont, Bell, W.Va.

Mr. Vannoy was a 50-year member of Salina Lodge 27 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Malden, W.Va. He also belonged to Local 782 United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, Seaford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Sebastian Coulbourne, who died in birth.

He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marilyn and Ronald Coulbourne of Bridgeville, Charlotte and Richard Ferguson of Wilmington, N.C., and Frances Wheatley of Seaford; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Patricia and Jeff Eskridge, Patrick and Claudia Colbourne, Kevin and Denise Wheatley, Sherry and Wallace Austin Ferguson, Debra (Ferguson) and Mark Medbery, Pam Dunn and her companion Bobby Jones and Beth Wheatley; seven great-grandchildren and a spouse, Courtney and Johnnie Shockley, Megan Eskridge, Caitlin Coulbourne, Jesse Wheatley, Regan Wheatley, Elizabeth Austin and Mackensie Austin; and a great-great-grandson, Jonathan Shockley.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford.
