Nelson Henry Jennings, 82
DOVER - Nelson Henry Jennings of Dover died Saturday, April 28, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 82.
Nelson was born in Lakewood, Pa., on Aug. 30, 1924, son of the late Henry and Grace Jennings.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Nelson lived most of his life in Honesdale, Pa., before moving to Dover in 1998, and for the past few years was a resident of Silver Lake Nursing Home, Dover.
He worked as a carpenter most of his life.
Nelson was married to the former Audrey Cutforth, who died in 2004.
He is survived by his a daughter and her husband, Lynda and Bob Baltzer of Smyrna; a son and his wife, Dennis and Kay Jennings of Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held May 5 in Honesdale, with burial in Galilee, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Silver Lake Residents Council, 1080 Silver Lake Blvd., Dover, DE 19904, to carry on his love of the ice cream socials.
