Ned Leroy Wells

LAUREL - Ned Leroy Wells died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Delaware Hospice Center. Born on Aug. 27, 1945 in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late Edgar and Arlene (Zahniser) Wells.
Ned was a devoted husband, father and Pop Pop and was loved by all that knew him. He has attended Impact Church of Fruitland since 1979, where he was a member. He worked for Hochmuth Farms for 57 years. Ned enjoyed doing mechanic work as a hobby.
Ned is survived by his wife, Sandra Wells; three children, Ann Brown, John Wells, Sheila Naumann and her husband Wayne; three grandchildren, Cassandra Hall and her husband Michael, Brittany Naumann and her fiancée Christopher Bates and Ryan Naumann; two great-grandsons, Brian and Cole Hall; a brother, Fred Wells; a sister, Edith Short; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ned was preceded in death by a son, Brian Wells; and three sisters, Edna Dorrell, Louise Long, Marjorie Cool.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Impact Church of Fruitland. A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., Salisbury and one hour prior to the service. Rev. Wayne Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in Springhill Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Impact Church of Fruitland, 206 Moonglow Rd., Fruitland, MD 21826 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
