Nancy Jane Miles

MILFORD - Nancy Jane Miles passed away Thurs., Aug. 22, 2013 in Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center. Mrs. Miles was born in Cold Spring - on Hudson, N.Y. the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Weston) Grindrod. She worked for 23 years as a clerk in Washington D.C. for the F.B.I., the Department of State and finally at the Department of Agriculture retiring in 1973. She loved playing bingo. Today is the 22nd Aunt Nancy or "2by2". Her word fill-in puzzles were great therapy. She loved keeping flowers in the little space she called home in Milford, De. She loved her Delaware. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Edward Lee Miles in 1984; three brothers, Robert Bayard Grindrod, Richard Weston Grindrod and Roland Haig Grindrod; and a sister, Marjorie Florence Bee who just recently passed away on April 22 of this year. She is survived by her son, Mark Lees Seidner of Texas; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 29, 2013 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will be private in St. Paul's Cemetery, Marion's Station, Md. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Carlisle Fire Company, P.O. Box 292, Milford, DE 19963.
