GEORGETOWN - Nancy Ann Phillips passed away peacefully at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, 2017. Nancy was the daughter of the late Howard Martin "Pat" Phillips and Losetta Frances (Clendaniel) Phillips, also of Georgetown. Nancy graduated from Georgetown High School in 1953. Nancy worked at the Georgetown Farmers Bank, and then at Arrow Safety Device in Georgetown for 25 years before retiring to care for her mother. She later volunteered as a foster grand-parent at Stockley Center. She loved cooking, plants, gardening, music, and talking on the phone with several dear friends. Nancy loved giving amusing gifts to her family at Christmas time, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a very kind and giving person to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Helen Elizabeth (Phillips) Lowe, and brother-in-law, Ralph Vincent Lowe, Sr. Nancy will be sadly missed by her nephew, Ralph Vincent Lowe, Jr. and wife, Faith, of Georgetown and children Melissa, Jordan (Rachel) Lowe, and Joshua (Monika) Lowe; her nieces, Denise Elizabeth (Lowe) Burns and companion, Barry, of Georgetown, and children Jason (Julie) Burns, and Dustin Burns; Patricia Anne (Lowe) Deptula, and husband, James, of Georgetown, and children Jaime Deptula, Jessica Deptula, Steven (Julia) Taylor, and Douglas (Renee) Taylor. Nancy leaves behind nine loving great-nieces and nephews, Chloe, Zoey, Vivian, William, Kara, Julian, Violet, Jackson, and Emma. Visitation with family will be in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service. Interment at Union Cemetery will be private. The family suggests contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice Center at 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, in lieu of flowers.
