DAGSBORO - Milton Phillips, of Dagsboro, passed away from natural causes on Friday, May 9, 2008, at Harrison House. He was 86.
Milton was born April 4, 1922, in Kinston, N.C.
He was a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie V. Wingate Phillips; his only son, Edward Phillips; two grandsons, Edward Jr. and Alan Phillips; two brothers, John and Clifton Phillips; and three sisters, Sarah Phillips Brown, Exaner Phillips Sample and Honga Phillips Tillman.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Josephine Phillips; grandchildren, Brenda Walker, Carmen Phillips, Jacqueline Phillips, Robin Phillips and Lorraine Finklin; a very caring and loving nephew, George Phillips; three special nieces, Delores Hendericks, Beatrice Jones and Renee Wyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Young & McPherson Funeral Home, Milford, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
