Mildred Lloyd Morgan, 96

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Mildred Lloyd Morgan of Federalsburg, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 96. She was born March 6, 1912, in Laurel, Del., the daughter of the late Walter and Iva Boyce Hearn. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Amos Lloyd in 1971 and Roman Morgan in 1977. She was a graduate of Seaford High School and had worked for Sunshine Laundry in Federalsburg. She was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, where she was a member of the Philathea Circle. She was a former member of the Federalsburg Senior Center. She is survived by three sons, Ervan A. Lloyd and his wife Shirley of Federalsburg, Donald Lloyd Sr. and his wife Carol of The Villages, Fla., and Thomas Lloyd and his wife Wanda; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Warren Hearn (Annett) and Hollis Hearn of Seaford, Del.; three sisters, Isabelle Chandler of Milton, Del., Kathleen Hastings and Doris Wilson of Seaford, Del., and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Chester Hearn, Manning Hearn, Boyce Hearn, Francis Hearn, Lee Hearn and Evelyn Marvil. Funeral services were held Sunday Feb. 8, 2009, at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, where Rev. Karen Bongard and Rev. Dan Walker officiated. Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery near Federalsburg. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Caroline Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 362, Denton, MD 21629.
