Mildred Francis Langrell Glessner, 89
GEORGETOWN - Mildred Francis Langrell Glessner, of Georgetown, formerly of Preston, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2008, at the Harrison House, Georgetown. She was 89.
She was born on Nov. 8, 1918, to the late Frank S. Langrell and Elizabeth Perry Langrell.
Mrs. Glessner graduated from Preston High School and continued her education at Bridgewater College.
She was the past owner and operator of the Linchester Mill.
Mrs. Glessner enjoyed going to the Linchester Pond and the flour mill.
She was an animal lover and especially loved her dog and her pet cats.
Mrs. Glessner was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glessner; and a sister, Mary Louise Kruger.
She is survived by three nephews, Frank H. Kruger and his wife Nina, Alvin "Buzz" Kruger and his wife Josephine, and Paul Kruger Sr. and his wife Helen, all of Georgetown; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hill Crest Cemetery, Federalsburg, with Rev. Anne Pruitt-Barnett officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Friends of Linchester Mill, 3531 Seamans Road, Preston, MD 21655.
