MILFORD - Mildred E. Foulk-Hand, of Milford, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at her home, with family by her side. She was 65.
She was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Philadelphia, to the late John and Adelaide (Boyd) Reed.
Mildred was an assistant manager at Mills Bros. Market. She loved her customers and the people she worked with, especially her friends, Cheryl, Greg, Carol, Deborah and Debbie, with whom she worked with at ClientLogic.
She enjoyed dancing, puzzles, watching old movies and game shows.
Mildred loved listening to the rain and watching birds and rabbits in the backyard.
She and her companion, Bill "Neffy" Neff, traveled any chance they got, going to the Black Hills in South Dakota. They also enjoyed going to the Saturday night dance at the Moose Lodge.
Mildred loved her children dearly and spoiled them and her grandchildren.
She was the best mom and a friend to all who knew her.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Hand, in 2001.
She is survived by her life companion, Bill "Neffy" Neff of Milford; her first husband, Howard Foulk of Philadelphia; sons Sonny Foulk and Richard Foulk, both of Dover; daughters Cindy McGuire of Dover, Jennifer Padilla of Felton and Lisa Damon of Magnolia; brother Chuck Palmatainy of Elkton, Md.; sister Eleanor Stevenson of Marydel; grandchildren, Leland Damon IV, Tyler Damon, Kelsey Damon, Megan Masset, Morgan Masset, Kristin Slaughter, David McGuire, Shannon Foulk, Teresa Foulk and Brandon Foulk; a great-granddaughter, Sierra Whiteley; and a recent grandson born 10 days ago, Victor Padilla, whom she was expectantly waiting for.
Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family requests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19901.
