Mildred Cole Ireland

Mildred Cole Ireland, 79 CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Mildred Cole Ireland, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in Chester River Manor. She was 79. She was born March 25, 1930 in Chestertown, Md., the daughter of the late John and Catherine Macguire (Lloyd) Cole. Mrs. Ireland graduated from Galena High School, Class of 1947. She married Charles Ellsworth Ireland on January 12, 1949 and they lived in Galena, Md., until later moving to Chestertown, Md. She worked with LaMotte Chemical Company in the testing department retiring twice, working until 2004. Mrs. Ireland was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1962, where she was very active. She loved cooking, entertaining, crossword and wordfind puzzles and dominos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2007; and a son, David Ireland in 1979. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Bailey of Chestertown, Md., and Barbara Crew and her husband, Joe of Denton, Md.; sons, Jack Ireland and his wife, Penny, and Thomas Ireland, all of Chestertown, Md.; a sister, Virginia Owens of Leesville, La.; a brother, William Lloyd of Leesville, La.; eight grandchildren, Kim, Paul, Julie, Michael, Nicole, Eric, Kelly and Joey; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. January 10, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2020 McGinnis Rd., Chestertown, MD 21620. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2020 McGinnis Rd., Chestertown, MD 21620.
