Spranklin, 35 CAMDEN - Michael John Spranklin, died Thursday, April 18, 2013. Michael was born in Seaford, Del. on Nov. 28, 1977 to Peter and Carol Spranklin. Michael graduated from University of Delaware with a degree in criminal justice. He worked as a motorcycle mechanic for many years and was previously employed by Harley Davidson. Michael was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors with his dog, Bean. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, Delaware. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Spranklin in 2006. He is survived by; his father, Peter A. Spranklin of Safety Harbor, Fla.; his brother, David Spranklin , sister-in-law Kristen; two nephews, Mitchell and Chase Spranklin of Weston, Fla.; his sisters, Susanne and Laura Spranklin, of Dayton, Ohio, and his grandmother, Marie Makosky of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE 19901. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
