Michael D. Conner, 49

SHIPPENSBURG, PA - Michael D. Conner, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, in his home after a 4 year battle with cancer (GIST). He was 49. He was born May 2, 1959, the son of Rebecca (Cooper) Brooks and the late Larry Conner. Michael was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, and employed at Ingersoll-Rand for 25 years. He was married to Kim (Wright) Conner for 29 years and enjoyed spending time with his family. His love for life is reflected through times with his sons; hunting, fishing, and coaching their youth football and baseball games. In addition to Kim and his two sons, Mike Jr.(22), and Matt(15), of Shippensburg, he is survived by his mother, Rebecca Brooks of Dover, Del.; two brothers, Steve Conner and Jeff Conner of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Kim Clendaniel, of Dover; a grandmother, Thelma Conner of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Sanctuary of The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring. Professional arrangements are by the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home.
