Melvin L. Hiller, 77

SEAFORD - Melvin L. Hiller of Seaford died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in his home. He was 77.

Mr. Hiller was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Long View, Wash., son of the late George and Flora Lee Hiller.

He was raised in Washington, moving to Annapolis, Md., before attending and graduating from the Naval Academy in 1953.

Mr. Hiller served his time in the U.S. Navy. He had many good memories and was very proud of his Navy days.

He continued to live in Annapolis while working for Northrop Grumman as an engineer. He was serving as project manager in the Oceanic Division when he retired in 1999.

In 2004, Mr. Hiller moved to Seaford with his wife.

He enjoyed watching Navy football games and loved animals.

Mr. Hiller was a quiet, stay-at-home type of man. He loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He raised two of his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Norma Jeanne Sullivan Hiller; and his family.

Services and burial will be private.

The family requests that no flowers be sent.
