Maurine P. Bringman, 84
Maurine P. Bringman of Chestertown died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in Chestertown. She was 84.
Mrs. Bringman was born May 15, 1922, in El Dorado, Ark., daughter of the late Eli Dell and Zora (Phillips) Platt.
She was a graduate of Overton High School in Overton, Texas, and Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas, where she was a member of the Rangerettes. She later attended Washington College, Chestertown.
On Oct. 7, 1944, she married William J. "Bunky" Bringman of Chestertown. Together they owned and operated the Rent-All-Mart in both Easton and Chestertown from 1960 until 1985 when she retired.
Mrs. Bringman was a faithful member of the Chestertown Baptist Church for more than 25 years. She was a charter member of the Soroptimist Club of Chestertown and served as a Girl Scout troop leader in her earlier years. She was a dear, sweet Christian lady who loved her family and was loved by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Nov. 30, 1981.
She is survived by two children, Joy Bringman of Meridian, Miss., and David Bringman of Chestertown; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Chestertown Baptist Church, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in the family cemetery immediately following.
