FREDERICA - Matthew Curtis Williams went home to be with his Lord on June 15, 2018. He is finally at peace.
Matthew was born on Nov. 23, 1979 to Daniel C. and Bernadette (Burke) Williams.
His passion was sailing, where he was said to have felt close to God. He enjoyed nature and seeing God's majestic sunrises and sunsets. Matthew was always generous and willing to help those in need, and truly had a heart for those in need.
Along with his parents, Matthew dearly loved his brother, John and Janell; his sister, Lisa and Patrick; and his Aunt Pat, who was like a second mother to him. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his nephews, Jake and Judah. They always brought a smile to Matthew's face. He will be missed by many of his close-knit extended family of aunts and cousins, and also dear friends who were like family to him. He maintained a close relationship with his stepson, Ryan Miller. He will be enormously missed by all those who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 25, 2018, at 12 p.m. in the sanctuary of Old Paths Church of Christ, 18295 Redden Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Old Paths Church of Christ Cemetery.
Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
