Matilda "Tillie" P. Daniels, 69

LADY LAKE, Fla. - Matilda "Tillie" P. Daniels of Lady Lake, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Fla., after a long battle with heart disease. She was 69.

Born on July 2, 1937, in Bridgeville, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Myrtle Parsons.

In January of 1996, Matilda and her husband, Joseph, retired and relocated to the Villages of Lady Lake in Lady Lake, Fla.

"Tillie" as she was affectionately known by many, always enjoyed a good shopping trip, especially if bargains were to be found.

She loved playing bridge with her friends and was a fun-loving individual who was always up for just about anything.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years, Joseph W. Daniels; three devoted sons and their wives, Michael and Patricia Daniels, David and Elissa Lynn Daniels, and Ronald and Diane Daniels; six grandchildren, Jeff, Tom, Brian, Alex, Nathan and Beth Daniels; one brother, Donald Parsons of Dagsboro.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday in the Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where family and friends may call one hour prior to services.

Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
