HUDSON, Wis. - Mary J. Pennewell of Hudson, formerly of Delaware, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. She was 96.
Although Mary was proud of her background in nursing, she cherished taking care of her family. Her family was first and foremost.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Diane and her husband Dick Hanson of Woodbury, Minn.; a son, Bill and his wife Bonnie Pennewell of Dover, Del.; her grandchildren, Mary Gail and her husband Isaac Topete of Woodbury, D.J. Nicoletto-Hanson and her husband Derek of New York, N.Y., and Jimmy Pennewell of Wilmington, Del.; her great-grandchildren, Paige Hanson, Blake Hanson, and Isaac Topete; and her dear friend, Gail Hanson.
A memorial gathering was held at the O"Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.
A private service was held by her family.
Burial will take place in St. George"s Cemetery in Dagsboro, Del., at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christian Community Home, 1320 Wisconsin St., Hudson, WI 54016.
