Mary Fay Smith, 92

WYOMING - Mary Fay Smith of Wyoming died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in Capitol Nursing Home, Dover. She was 92.

Mrs. Smith was born April 19, 1915, in Dallas, Texas, the eldest of five children born to the late Andrew Curtis Tumy and Meta Erler Tumy.

She was employed as a payroll clerk for 28 years at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, Ind., retiring in 1999. After retiring, she moved to Delaware and became involved in several organizations, including the Delaware Blood Bank, the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, the Christian Women"s Society, Newcomers of Dover, AARP Dover Chapter 721 and the Camden Round Table.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, I.W. Strouse; her second husband, John Smith Jr.; two brothers; and a sister.

She is survived by two sons, I.W. Strouse Jr. of Bedford, Texas and Richard A. Strouse of Wyoming; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.

Burial will be in Seymour, Ind.
