Mary Elizabeth 'Lib' West, 87

GEORGETOWN - Mary Elizabeth "Lib" West of Georgetown died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. She was 87.

Mrs. West was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late Floyd T. and Mary E. (Hitchens) Wilkins.

She was a lifelong resident of Georgetown and a homemaker who enjoyed her family.

She also liked listening to 105.9 FM-Cat Country.

Mrs. West was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Georgetown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold West; and a brother, R. Meldon Wilkins.

She is survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Hudson of Laurel, Josephine and Paul Littleton of Georgetown and Norma L. Nelson of Millsboro; a brother and sister-in-law, John L. "Jack" and Louise Wilkins of Millsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Georgetown.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
