Georgetown - Mary E. 'Eileen' Veasey passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born in Felton on Dec. 19, 1934 to the late Charles and Jeanette (Dill) Wyatt. Mrs. Veasey retired from NCR and also from M&T Bank. Eileen was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Hope Rebecca Lodge, Eastern Star Georgetown Chapter No. 9 and Pocahontas. She enjoyed eating out, especially eating crabs, going shopping – in her later years shopping through catalogues, traveling, watching soap operas on TV, visiting with friends and family, and celebrating 4th of July with homemade ice cream. Eileen always took candy and snacks to share with patients at the dialysis center, Fresenius Medical Care Mid Sussex in Georgetown. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband, Raymond Veasey; and brother, Lester Wyatt. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Diann Pawlowski; grandson, Michael Pawlowski and fiancée Amanda Hollins, 2 great grandchildren, Harlie and Blake and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call for a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Georgetown.
