GEORGETOWN - Mary Catherine Hudson of Georgetown died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 87.
Mrs. Hudson was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late George W. and Leatie Belle (Rogers) Mitchell.
She was a personal secretary for Tunnell and Raysor in Georgetown for 35 years.
She volunteered many hours for Milford Memorial Hospital and the Robin Hood Thrift Shop in Georgetown.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Wesley United Methodist Women, Sunshine Class and AARP.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Hudson, in May 2006; and a sister, Tillie Hastings.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Georgeann H. and Thomas V. White of Millsboro; two grandchildren, Alison C. White and Kyle V. White; a brother-in-law, Donald L. Hudson and his wife, Lois, of Frankford; a niece, Gail Hudson; a nephew and a niece-in-law, Guy R. and Lauren Hudson; two great-nieces, Brittany Hudson and Morgan Hudson; and a great-nephew, Taylor Hudson.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where services will begin at 3.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
A reception will follow the burial at Jones Hall, Wesley Methodist Church, Georgetown.
