LINCOLN - Marvin Duray Transeau, a life-long resident of Lincoln and Ellendale, died at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pa., on Aug. 2, 2009. His death followed months of hospitalization resulting from an automobile accident on Feb. 3, 2009. Marvin's wife of 60 years, Charlotte Ennis Transeau, preceded him in death, April 30, 2009. Marvin served two tours of duty as an electrician in the U.S Navy, including service aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Coral Sea. He retired from years of service as supervisor of operations for Glatfelter Pulp Wood Co. at a receiving center in Georgetown. He was a journeyman bricklayer in previous years. Marvin's great love along with his wife, Charlotte, was caring for their home, garden and pets. Marvin is survived by two younger brothers, retired U.S. Navy Captain, Alvin S. Transeau of Surprise, Ariz., and Dr. Leon W. Transeau of Hagerstown, Md. A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Ellendale Cemetery, Ponder and Cemetery Road, Ellendale. Friends are welcome to attend. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
