FELTON - Marlyn A. Fuhr of Felton passed away after a long illness Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 73.
Mrs. Fuhr was a former employee of A.I. duPont, Wilmington; The Delaware Home and Hospital of Smyrna; proprietor of Whispering Pines Landscaping Nursery, Townsend; Dover Air Force Base personnel; Milford Memorial Hospital, medical records; and John Macklin and Son Demolition Inc., Lincoln.
She received a degree from the Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1978.
Mrs. Fuhr assisted her husband with the management of a dairy farm in Lincoln.
She was an active, longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Milford.
Mrs. Fuhr was a loving and devoted mother of four daughters and three sons. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of five years, William Parvis Groff; her second husband, Davis R. Fuhr; a son, William "Billy" Fuhr; and a granddaughter, Holly Lynn Callahan.
She is survived by four daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia A. Introcaso of Milford, Janet E. and John E. Macklin of Lincoln, Sharon L. Groff and her companion, Connie Yencer of Harrington and Katie M. Fuhr of Felton; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jason R. and Heidi Fuhr of Milford and Curtis L. Sr. and Debra Fuhr of Felton; grandchildren and spouses, Stacey Lea and Luis Vazquez, Herman Lee Callahan Jr., Johnny E. Macklin, Wayne M. and Aerial H. Clough, Jamie L. Fuhr, Curtis "Bubby" Fuhr Jr., Jayln Fuhr and Christian Lee Fuhr; great-grandchildren, Caitlin N. McMillan, Brandon Michael Jones, Luis Angel Vazquez III, Daniel Evans Burgos, Angel Luis Vazquez, Xaimara Vazquez, Frankie Luis Vazquez, Autumn Callahan, Candice Callahan, Seth A. Clough, Zoe M. Clough, Ayla M. Clough; and her orange tabby cat, Spitfire.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Milford First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Pastor David P. Perdue will officiate.
Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.
Fellowship will follow the service in Milford First Baptist Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801; or the American Heart Association, Delaware Regional Office, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
