DOVER - Marion Lee Moore, known to friends and family as Lee, passed away at 47 years old, on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Dover. Lee was born in Hopkinsville, Ky., to Carolyn and Joe Moore on Oct. 18, 1964. Though he was a true southerner at heart, he spent most of his life in Dover, where he serviced the community as a hair dresser and most recently, a barber at Village Barber Styling near Rodney Village Shopping Center. He gave his customers the attention they needed to make them feel at home in the barber chair and treated them to both a good haircut and his enthusiastic attitude. In spending time with Lee, even a couple minutes, one could feel his energy was genuine and sincere. He loved helping people but he lived for his son, Mitchell Lee Moore and was eager to talk sports, mostly baseball and especially, the results and details of Mitchell's games. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Moore Jr.; and grandparents, Ann and Joseph Moore Sr., all of Georgetown. He is survived by his two children, Monique Rivera of New Brunswick, N.J. and Mitchell Moore; his dear friend and the love of his life, Pamela Moore of Dover; his loving family, his mother, Carol Ann Moore; and brother, Terry Moor, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and his sister and close friend Carol Ann Moore Holt and her husband Marty Holt of Cross Plains, Tenn., and her children, Brittany and Katlyn Holt; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The memorial service will be 5 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Home with the formal service starting at 7 p.m. Donations to offset the cost of the service can be made in Lee's name to Torbert Funeral Home 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904.
