Marion L. Parrish

EGG HARBOR, N.J. - Marion L. Parrish, of Egg Harbor, N.J., and formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. She was 90. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Alberta Pritchett. Mrs. Parrish retired from National Publishing Co., Phila., after many years of service. She enjoyed reading, travelling, and buying clothes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William M. Parrish; and her son, William H. "Chickie" Parrish. She is survived by a daughter, Marian Keebler and her husband James of Egg Harbor, N.J.; a step-sister, Gwendolyn "Dolly" Morris of Lewes; a daughter-in-law, Ada Parrish of Cheswold; seven grandchildren, James, Daniel, Michelle, Ada, William, Marian, and Karen; and many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Immanuel Union Cemetery, Cheswold. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association DE Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Ste. 102, Phil., PA 19106. To send a letter of condolence visit www.delmarvaobits.com.
