LINCOLN - Marian Mildred Kenton Smith of Lincoln died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at home. She was 74.
Marian was born April 13, 1933, in Pennsylvania, to the late Charles Wesley and Mildred Jewell Kenton.
She owned a trucking business for many years.
Marian enjoyed collecting boy and girl figurines, watching NASCAR, going to the slots and riding on the truck with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Lee Smith; a stepson, Ronald J. Smith Jr.; seven brothers, Robert, Donald, Ronald, Kenneth, Clifford, Frank and John Kenton; and a sister, Doris Kenton.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald J. Smith Sr.; one son, Charlie Smith of Milford; three daughters, Lois Wood and her husband Dave, and Shirley Messick, all of Milford, and Loretta Kratsas of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren, Mike, Kim and Kelly Robertson, David Wood, Casey Messick, Michael Colvin, Nathan, Tim, Kristen and Jeff Smith, and David and Jessica Webb; 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lewis and Gene Kenton of St. Augustine, Fla.
Services will be private.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made in Marian's memory to Vitas Hospice, 10 Commerce Road, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19711.
Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
