Margot Foose Eliason, 75

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Margot (Foose) Eliason of Annapolis, formerly of Chestertown, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, in her home. She was 75.

Mrs. Eliason was born Oct. 31, 1930, in South Orange, N.J., daughter of the late Robert Paul and Grace (Althoff) Foose.

She was a 1948 graduate of Columbia High School, South Orange. She attended Greenbriar College and was a 1977 graduate of Washington College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.

Mrs. Eliason worked as a medical illustrator for the J.B. Lippincott Co., Philadelphia.

She moved to Chestertown and married John C. Eliason Sr., on May 19, 1954.

Mrs. Eliason worked as a landscape artist during this time. Following a separation from her husband in 1977, she moved to Annapolis, where she continued to paint. She also worked for the city of Annapolis Housing Authority.

She loved to write and paint.

Mrs. Eliason was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Chestertown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John C. "Skeeter" Eliason Jr., in 2004.

She is survived by a son, Robert "Bobby" Eliason of Charlottesville, Va.; two grandchildren, Eben Eliason of Lancaster, Pa., and Addie E. Pepoli of Fitchburg, Mass.; and a brother, Robert William Foose of Port Washington, N.Y.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kent County Arts Council, P.O. Box 330, Chestertown, MD 21620.
