CLAYTON - Margaret S. Everett, of Clayton, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at her home with family. She was 86.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1921, in Dover, to the late Harry and Mary Wright Scotton.
Mrs. Everett was a homemaker and worked the family farm with her late husband, James L. Everett for 65 years.
She loved cooking and baking and had a loving heart.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Everett; brothers, Carl, Kenneth, Rawlins, and Spencer Scotton; and a sister, Becky Hershberger.
She is survived by sister, Kathryn Bush of Downes Chapel; brother, Harry Scotton of Felton; sister, Marry Ann Helmer of Marydel; sister and her husband, Audrey L. and Lee Severson of Downes Chapel; cousin, Mary Louise Jones of Downes Chapel; nephew, David R. Hengst of Downes Chapel; nieces, Donna Fowler of Arizona, and Pamela Severson of Smyrna; and a great-niece, Megan R. Hengst of Downes Chapel.
Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Friday in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.
The family request that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice, 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19901.
