FRANKFORD - Margaret J. Johnson of rural Frankford, formerly of Wilmington, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in her home. She was 85.
Mrs. Johnson was born in New Brunswick, N.J., daughter of the late Henry and Sally (Lomax) Breese.
She attended the Dagsboro Church of Christ.
Mrs. Johnson was devoted to her family and enjoyed word puzzles and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Harvey B. Longacre III and Robert Longacre.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Elwood H. Johnson; their children, Margaret Louise Longacre, Ronald E. Johnson Sr. and Nancy M. Orledge; her grandchildren, Margaret Dianne Longacre, Charles Longacre, Paul Longacre, Rebecca Longacre, Anna Catherine Hood, Patricia Sooy, Ronald E. Johnson Jr., Richard Johnson, Virginia Johnson, Wendy Sullivan, Annette Gordon, Tamara Robbins; 31 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and a close family friend, Dean Hall.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 201B W. DuPont Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966.
