MILLINGTON, Md. - Margaret E. "Peggy" Levasseur passed away at her home in Millington on Saturday, December 13, 2020.
Peggy was born on November 24, 1944 in Wilmington, Del. the daughter of the late James T. Pippin and Phyllis "Haley" Pippin.
After graduating from Galena High School in 1962 Peggy went into nursing and received her LPN from Brown Nursing School in 1965. She worked at Magnolia Hall in Chestertown for a number of years. She then went on to work at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill where she retired in 2011. She had been a member of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel (ASW) for almost 30 years and had been one of the nurses tending to people at the Free Spirit Gathering on their healers' team for many years. She was known for her great heart and her kindness to others. Peggy enjoyed reading, baking, refinishing furniture, traveling and going to the movies and Broadway shows with her daughter and most of all spending time with her family and her two grandchildren.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Bobby" Pippin.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bennett (Chad) of Ridgely, Md.; two grandchildren, Hope and Kamryn Bennett both of Ridgely, Md.; one brother, Tom Pippin (Darlene) of Dover, Del.; sister in law, Bobbi Pippin of Chestertown, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held Friday, December 18, 2020 from 2 - 3 p.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, Md. A memorial service began at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to your local ASPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
